An introduction to ELA

ELA was established in 2009 as a part of a group of professional preparation institutions at the University of Business and Technology (UBT), based on student centered, true meaningful cognitive learning.

It adopts a literacy approach rather than a grammar-based approach.

Skills and competencies are taught by giving instructors wide latitude in the way they teach. Workshops, seminars, projects and outside activities are instituted to motivate students to develop critical thinking skills.

In addition, ELA adopts a fair policy of disciplinary rules and regulations to create a friendly learning environment that promotes professional ethics vital for students in their professional careers. Our students are equipped with the tools and knowledge that empower them to excel in their academic degree programs and fulfill their career goals.
