Associate Professor and Head of Supply Chain Department at UBT. He holds Master Degree in Business Management-Operations Management from Alexandria University, Egypt and a PhD also in Business Management-Operations Management from Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr Attia’s research interests lie mainly Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Logistics. He is a member of IEOM, INFORMS, CSCMP, AOM and APICS

-In 2018, The Research Paper Titled ''Resource Allocation: A moderator of the relationship of recycling strategy and organizational performance’ won the best track paper in the 2nd IEOM European Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, Paris, France. 


-In 2019 The Paper Titled ''Testing the Effect of Knowledge Management Capabilities on Service Quality'' won the best track paper in the 3rd IEOM European Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, Pilsen, Czech Republic.

For over 20 years, Dr. Attia taught different courses such as Decision Sciences, Enterprise IT System, Operations Management, Physical Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Forecasting and Total Quality Management for undergraduate and postgraduates students. 

Ahmed Attia is an Associate Professor and used to be the Director of the Quality Assurance and Intuitional Research Unit at Effat University, currently he is the Head of Supply Chain Department at University of Business and Technology. He holds master’s degree in business management-Operations Management from Alexandria University, Egypt and a PhD also in Business Management-Operations Management from Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr Attia’s research interests lie mainly Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Logistics. He is a member of IEOM, INFORMS, CSCMP, AOM and APICS.

 

In over 20 years of professional experience in Egypt and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I have taught several courses in the fields of Operations Management, Management Information Systems, and Management; published books and several peer-reviewed journal articles; and served on a number of university committees such as quality assurance standing committee., excellence in teaching award, college research committee and community service award.

 

As a researcher my aim is to develop a practical research papers help in solving the community problems and publish it in high quality journals. For example, one of my research papers titled ‘Organizational Learning, Knowledge Management Capability and Supply chain management practices in the Saudi Food Industry’ published in Journal of Knowledge Management which is ranked in Q1. Q1 represent the top journals in the field of management of technology and innovation according to SCIMAGO.
