Amira Alturki is an esteemed academic with extensive experience in information technology and business. She obtained her Ph.D. in Mobile Commerce from the School of Computing, Engineering, and Mathematics at the University of Brighton in the UK. Additionally, she holds a Master of Science in Information Technology with Business from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the School of Business Administration at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Alturki's career began at the University of Business and Technology (UBT), where she excelled as the Deputy Director of Communication and Technology. She later took on the role of leading the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) from 2018 to 2020. In the Spring semester of 2020, she temporarily spearheaded the HR department before being appointed to the deanship of the College of Business Administration.
Dr. Amira's research interests revolve around E-Commerce, Mobile Commerce, Mobile Learning, the quality of educational information systems, data analysis, and cybersecurity. Her diverse academic background and leadership positions have endowed her with a comprehensive understanding of these fields' technical and business aspects, making her an invaluable asset to the academic community.
