OVERVIEW

The MBA program is a two-year 48-credit curriculum that provides a comprehensive portfolio of knowledge, tools, skills and initiative ability for today’s business leaders to manage business organizations. The MBA program is offered as a master degree in General Management with an area of concentration, which are; Accounting, Finance, Human Resources Management, International Business Administration, Management Information System, Marketing and Supply Chain & Operations Management and Entrepreneurship. The MBA degree program with options is structured around the two interrelated course structures: 36 credit hours of core courses and 12 credit hours of area of concentration courses. The MBA general business administration program is structured with 36 credit hours of core courses and 12 credit hours of mixed courses of choice. The courses are offered to suit the availability of working professional students giving them the space, not conflicting with their business pursuits or job performance.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The MBA Program is designed to achieve the following objectives:

·      Provide an in-depth understanding of the literature in the functional areas of business.

• Develop managerial capabilities of students in core functions and disciplines of business administration.

• Develop the student's analytical, communication, and organizational skills to become effective managers in variable organizational settings.

• Enhance the leadership and decision-making abilities of students to enable them to encounter effectively contemporary challenges in an increasingly complex business environment.

• Equip students with the ability to act in an ethical, professional, and socially responsible manner.

STUDENTS WITH NON-BUSINESS BACKGROUND

For students with non-business backgrounds, our MBA program act as tool to guide them throughout their career, filling gaps as a knowledge to move forward and take next step within their current organization or opening doors for development and progress in a new direction.

EQUALIZATION OF COURSES

  • Courses from an accredited university by MOE.
  • B grade or higher in the course(s) to be equalized.
  • Official transcript, course description, contents and objectives must be at least equivalent to 75% of corresponding course at CBA - MBA.
  • Credit hours for the course should be equal to 3 Credit hours.
  • Equalized courses at MBA are assigned a grade of T prefix (meaning transfer). These grades are not counted as part of the students accumulated GPA.
  • The validity of any courses to be equalized is 2 years.

ACADEMIC ADVISOR

The Academic Advisor for MBA helps all MBA student in his/her progress during the study of MBA. As student progresses to the courses required, he/she might need assistance and provides academic guiding for determining the course track or path in selecting MBA areas of concentration. The Academic Advisor handles any academic issues besetting the students.

IT general services are provided to the UBT system providing all colleges: College of Business Administration Male and Female Campuses, College of Engineering and Information Technology, College of Advertising Male and Female Campuses with IT support for administrative, academic, and quality assurance operations throughout the year.
