UBT Strategic Plan includes three strategic imperatives that will shape higher education in
the next decade and align with the KSA Vision 2030: Sustainability, Digital
Transformation, and Internationalization. These imperatives cut across the four strategic
themes and four strategic enablers, to help UBT re-imagine and re-engineer its path into the
future:

Core Theme (1): Transformative Student Experience
Develop and deliver transformative learning experiences that nurture students
holistically and prepare them for work and life.
Core Theme (2): High Quality Market-Driven Programs
Develop and maintain high quality market-driven academic programs that meet
local and international standards, delivered by talented faculty who adapt
innovative, technology-enabled and engaging learning and teaching practices.
Core Theme (3): Research with Tangible Impact
Create a vibrant intellectual
environment that stimulates innovative research and publication in key focus
areas that advance UBT reputation internationally and have meaningful impact on
the curriculum, industry and the community.
Core Theme (4): Deep Engagement with the Industry and the Community
Develop strong and constructive relationships with the industry and the
community by contributing the human capital development and to the cultural,
social and economic wellbeing of the local and international communities.
Strategic Enabler (1): Ensuring Institutional Effectiveness
Cultivate a system-wide culture of quality, organizational integrity, effectiveness, and sound governance that will enable UBT to achieve its mission and strategic objectives.

Create a campus environment conducive to attracting, retaining, developing and rewarding talented faculty and staff.

Provide quality facilities and infrastructure that enable effective, responsive and safe delivery of campus services for the benefit of students, faculty and staff and users beyond the University.
Strategic Enabler (4): Financial and Resource Sustainability
Enhance UBT’s financial sustainability through increased income generation, efficient financial planning, and resource allocation to meet academic and operational objectives.
The three strategic imperatives that will shape higher education in the next decade and
align with the KSA Vision 2030: Sustainability, Digital Transformation, and
Internationalization. These imperatives cut across the four strategic themes and four
strategic enablers, to help UBT re-imagine and re-engineer its path into the future. These
are institutional imperatives, not just desirable possibilities.

Sustainability:
Through sustainability, UBT intends, within its core capabilities and
resources, to educate learners, its faculty, and staff as well as the wider community
on sustainable development. It also intends to address societal challenges and
reduce environmental and social footprints of its campus operations, empower
students and staff to act and make sustainability a central priority.
Digital Transformation:
By embracing digital transformation, UBT intends to
leverage technology to improve and transform the University’s business processes
to create a unique and responsive environment that transforms students’ lifecycle
experience and staff working environment.
Internationalization:
UBT intends to embrace internationalization as a holistic
strategy that supports the compacts with the UBT strategic plan 2024-2028 and a
means to enhancing the quality of education and research for all students and staff,
and to make a meaningful contribution to society .
